Meeting on stocking of salmon

The meeting will be held in Glasgow and results from SMOLTPRO will be presented.

The meeting goes under the name “Boosting salmon numbers: is stocking the answer or the problem?” and will be held on Wednesday 27-Thursday 28 November.

The meeting is organized by IBIS and the Atalantic salmon trust with the aim discussing the role of stocking as a measure of restoring, sustaining and enhancing salmon populations and fisheries.

What is new?

  • Two new SMOLTPRO publications

    [9 Mar 2015] Two new SMOLTPRO publications are now available on the publication page. The first one shows how natural selection constrain personality and brain gene expression differences in Atlantic salmon. And the second one deal with the effects of emergence time and early social rearing environment and how that affects the behaviour of Atlantic salmon.
